Southwest Wireless Client Setup Instructions
Criteria

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
Wireless Card: 802.11b/g
compatible
Authentication Type: Open
Encryption Type: Disabled
Procedure
- Click
on the Start Menu.
- Click
on Connect To.
- Click
on Wireless Network Connection.

- When
the Wireless Network Connection
window appears, click on Change
advanced settings option in the left margin.

- After
the Wireless Network Connection
Properties window appears, ensure the check box for Use Windows to configure my wireless
network settings is checked. Then click Add under the Preferred
Networks section.

- Under
the Association Tab type in the Network Name (SSID), southwest.

- For Network Authentication select Open.
- For Data encryption section select Disabled.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- When
you return to the desktop you should have a connection balloon in the System Tray next to the clock
notifying you that you are connected to the wireless network.
- You
must now register your computer for use on Southwest's network. Open
your web browser (i.e.,
Internet Explorer) and follow the instructions that appear there.
